What do YOU want to see?

What is it that you'd like to see happen within the GFX community here? What is it you want done to benefit the gfx forum? Post your ideas/suggestions here.

You won't be attacked for any ideas you post, if you are, I'll infract and rawr! This is for general discussion about some ideas on how we can, as a community, make this little area of sythe better.

 

I would like to see no one reply to anyone else's idea. Read them, but if you reply to them, I'm going to delete the post. This area is for Moderator viewing, on your idea. Keep in mind that all ideas are usually good ideas, they just need to be built upon.

 

More tutorials posted teaching advanced styles to sythe members.

 

Web Design section maybe?

 

A big thing that needs a little bit or repair is the nubs who are asking for CnC and then flip shit when someone tells them they suck when they actually do. When people give advice and get attacked by the person they are trying to help, next time they probably aren't going to want to help the next person.

I think we should have an area for users to submit tuts of their own. Kinda like the resources sub-forum that was recently added.

 

I'd like to see more tuts how to use photoshop allthough.

 

Maybe like a teamspeak/ventrilo lesson where people need help with making sigs etc can all go into a channel and good sig makers etc can help them?

 

TDD had an idea like that a long while ago, I think. I liked it but don't know what ever happened to it. I'll talk to him.

 

i would like it if we had something similar to UE but with gfx helpers with a sig or teach them a new style.

 

more activities to do, such as SOTW, and the community sig, something similair to that.. I'll try to think of something that would fit into that category.

 

That's something everyone can do to help, there's already a section for it, so post some.

There's not enough people who do web design to bother, and there's a lot of reasons why it's useless that I won't go into.

When I see people react badly to critisism they receive, they get warnings for it but there's nothing we can do about people like that, they need to change their own ways.

There is also a section already for posting tutorials...

That has been discussed before, and is still being discussed on how to make it the most effective and less time-consuming because GFX takes such a long time to teach and we have lives of our own and can't spend 24/7 teaching people in different timezones but rest assured that myself, vision ex and bbri06 have been in discussion about how to make this effective and impliment it.

An area is SotW for people to post their sigs for cnc, instead of posting them in the normal area. That way the number can be locked as well.

Or something done with the SotW CnC's. There's quite a few of them circulating .

 

Why? The GFX Showcase section is for the show off of all GFX so it makes sense to put their sotw sigs for cnc there.

 

Because if you seperate SotW CnC, and just everyday CnC, it'd be less cluttered !

Hm, well I thought of a new system (similar to UE) where anyone can help someone else personally with a specific technique or style, for the benefit of 1) one person gains knowledge from 1 on 1 educating rather than reading a tutorial and 2) the "teacher" so to speak gets a rank after a certain ammount of gfx-assists (if they were helpful & verified by the "student").

For example, person A wants to learn how to make a logo. Person A isn't good with reading tutorials and following them, etc. So person B helps A 1 on 1. He goes through steps with person A and teach him easier ways to do whatever A is looking for. Person A learns well, and posts verification on Sythe that person B was very helpful etc. It will be a circulating respiratory of knowledge passing from one to another.

After a certain amount of these "vouches" so to speak, a gfx educator may get a new rank. [gfx educator]

This is NOT just an excuse to get new ranks added to Sythe, it's simply a new way to educate those who are interested in learning, and to modivate those who have knowledge to help others in depth.

There's a UE system & rank, so I think this would be nice for the GFX section.

I know i've said it before but I would like to see some sort of Graphics teams, that could face off ect.

You could start out with 2 groups (both run by a GFX mod) then take apps and accept people into the group. And give different levels for how many contests they win against the other group. Then when they get a high enough level they can create their own group, expanding the GFX team idea.

There should also be a rank stating which group your in, and what level.
Please give it some consideration
