how many of you actually believe in the illuminati the new world order these secret cults like the free masons all these major bankers controlling the worlds money all this stuff? I'm just curious in 2013 now a lot of people are actually aware and waking up from their sleep but im just wondering how many people on sythe actually know about this stuff and the poll is asking do you actually believe in all this stuff.

Here's just a little clip of a movie that had heavy symbolism in it about this topic.

What power does the illuminati hold?

I believe in the group, but they won't take over anything in the next few hundred years. A group is nothing without foot soldiers.

The biggest threat to any organization is its soldiers, look at a bit of England's history and you'll see that every monarch who was overturned was done through the military. ( if it wasn't done peacefully)

The Illuminati may exist as a group but the power is no doubt fiction. There is no way anyone could maintain extreme secrecy like this on such a large scale, manipulate EVERY SINGLE GOVERNMENT and some how trick us into swallowing their crazed bullshit.
This is just beyond silly if you think about it.

If you'd actually do some research into the original illuminati, you'd understand that what the president believes in and what the illuminati believes in, are two separate things.

The illuminati believes in a one world government and outlawing religion. Now if you look at the statistics for religion in the US. It's 70% Christianity, and I believe maybe 7% atheist. Now how could an organization take power of a dominantly theist nation?

The only reason people believe in this group so much is because the amount of press people are talking about it. That's it. No one can go into specifics into who is in the group, how it operates, or anything that's relevant information. It's just talk of people thinking a group is looming over the nation and is taking form.

To add to the points presented here.

There has always been rumors of such groups all throughout history. They all have the same trademark signs. They're massive and contain most of the important people of the day, they manipulate the world, and they're highly secretive. The fact is that there is no facts.

I read a book called freakonomics (look into it) that had something related to this. It was with the KKK though... I went and found some of the stuff myself.. The_Riddler argues that illuminati probably doesn't have any power. Whereas, in the 1920's the KKK had huge political influence around the nation. Read this:

"The members of the first Klan in the South were exclusively Democrats. The second Klan expanded with new chapters in the Midwest and West, where for a time, its members were courted by both Republicans and Democrats. The KKK state organizations endorsed candidates from either party that supported its goals; Prohibition in particular helped the Klan and some Republicans to make common cause in the Midwest.

The Klan had numerous members in every part of the United States, but was particularly strong in the South and Midwest. At its peak, claimed Klan membership exceeded four million and comprised 20% of the adult white male population in many broad geographic regions, and 40% in some areas.[101] The Klan also moved north into Canada, especially Saskatchewan, where it opposed Catholics.[102]

With expanded membership came election of Klan members to political office. In Indiana, members were chiefly American-born, white Protestants of many income and social levels. In the 1920s, Indiana had the most powerful Ku Klux Klan in the nation. It had a high number of members statewide (over 30% of its white male citizens[103]), and in 1924 elected the Klan member Edward Jackson as governor.[104]

Given success in state and local elections, the Klan issue contributed to the bitterly divisive 1924 Democratic National Convention in New York City. The leading candidates were William Gibbs McAdoo, a Protestant with a base in areas where the Klan was strong, and New York Governor Al Smith, a Catholic with a base in the large cities. After weeks of stalemate, both candidates withdrew in favor of a compromise. Anti-Klan delegates proposed a resolution indirectly attacking the Klan; it was narrowly defeated."

This proves that private organizations can have a huge amount of power. Now take this example, add almost 200 years to the organization, add a lot of president involvments, a lot more members, and proven seals with government officials. THEN, you have the illuminati. Now tell me more about how it is impossible for the illuminati to have a lot of power...

Emporer_Nero had it spot on with this:
    Thanks,

You claim the Illuminati has more members than 4million? I bet it doesn't even have members in the 100s of thousands. Their power is strictly monetary and political. And as you've seen in the past, those can give a group temporary power, but never long lasting if the ruled doesn't like to be ruled.

The KKK was in no way shape or form a "secrete society". It was an open society, voicing their opinions openly, with their political, justice and society support. They carried their discriminatory acts openly, they marched proudly int he streets. Nothing about them was secrete because it didn't have to be secret. The american population either favored their ideals, or quietly accepted their ideals.

The group is secret because it holds most of it's power from being in the shadows.

He's saying the government is the illuminati, at least I think. If you actually think about it, that is true to a point.

I find the illuminati theories to be hilarious, and also how they are often linked to religion.
