    so i stopped playing runescape about 6 months ago but i kept my account and was trying to sell it. i put on a 1 month membership on it two months ago to get some rsgp off of it. but then today i was going to get back on it and when i tried to log in it said that i had a "negative membership".... i just want to get on f2p to check my bank but i guess i have to buy a membership to even play f2p

    Yep, probably someone charged back the membership you bought. Contact the seller if that's the case.

    Classic case of a charge back. These really suck, as you will likely have to pay much more to get it OUT of negative credit than you paid before. Also, it is very likely that Jagex will limit your payment options on that account in the future.
