So if you ever plan on overclocking, testing, or just making sure that everything is working properly in your computer here is a nice little list of tools you may like to use:

    For Monitoring:

    1. Core Temp: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

Monitors your CPU, including loads and temperatures.

    2. GPU Temp: http://www.gputemp.com/

Same as #1, except for your graphics cards.

    3. HWiNFO: http://www.hwinfo.com/

This program monitors everything. It also provides support for Logitech Keyboards (if you would like to monitor on the HUD). :)

    For Testing:

    1. Intel Burn Test: http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4965-intelburntest.html

For testing stability of your overclocked CPU. Be extremely cautious using it.

    2. Prime95: http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=205

Same idea as Intel Burn Test, different program. Favored by many over Intel Burn.

    3. FurMark (I'm testing this now): http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/

This is the GPU stress tester. Once again, be extremely cautious using it. My computer failed to even get half way through testing with it... Then again two GTX 470s with little space in between them and a PSU running underneath is really dumb. Haha.

    4. Crystal Disk Mark: http://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskMark/index-e.html

Used for testing your read and write speeds of your SSDs/HDDs.

If anyone has any to add or recommend just tell me!

I prefer using HWinfo for monitoring my internals. You can set it up to utilize the integrated rivatuner OSD to display chosen parameters while gaming. I use it to show:
    CPU temp,usage %, clock speed
GPU temp, core clock, mem clock

Very handy tool, I highly recommend it.

Another tool that I recommend for CPU stress testing would be prime 95. It WILL get your CPU hot in a hurry, so be careful. Nonetheless, I find it does a better job than Intel burntest. If you are looking to stress your CPU,GPU,PSU, and your overall cooling system, run prime95 alongside furmark with extreme burn in enabled.

A lot of it depends on what sort of processor you are using, when using burntest vs prime95, I get much better results with mobile processors(laptops) using core i-3/5/7 on prime95, whereas laptops using core 2 xx's tend to show better results on intel burntest. I find using prime95 on older desktop chips shows best results, whereas they show very similar results on 2nd/3rd gen desktop chips.

For testing ram, the most reliable program I've used is Memtest86+, which can be setup to be used as a bootable program.Booting to memtest86+ will keep your RAM freed up, because you are not booting windows or running anything else that requires data to be stored in your RAM. This means, when you boot to memtest, you will have nearly 100% of your RAM available for testing, minus the tiny amount of space needed to actually run Memtest itself. It looks very similar to a DOS program when running, but it's very simple to use. It usually comes with any linux distro that you might choose to run, so it's very easy to get.
