What combo's better Chaotic maul or rapier?

I have a 1def account with the tokens to buy a chaotic wep + ring of vigor and arcane stream..

Maul biggest thing is that it doesn't miss because such good accuracy but against 1def pures I dont care about accuracy you know? So rapier could be better. But what combos best? Range to maul to gmaul? or rapier to claws?

So whats the best weapon for a 1def pker who just does edge fights?

they are both good, it more or less depends on what u wanna get use to, personally if u have the tokens get both and test in duel arena, the both have pros and cons such as

Maul:
pro:great accuracy, hits hard
con: SLOW AS HELL! if u get hit hard ur gonna eat and it makes hitting with this even slower!!!

Rapiter
Pro:relatively fast and semi accurate
con: not as accurate as maul

it really depends how u want to use them, most people i see use rapier but alot of people use g maul also when changing from range to melee for the kill

Rapier combos pretty well with a dds, but I've heard that the maul is better for pk.
Plus, I would think that against 1 def pures, you would care about accuracy, since every hit you know is going to be damn destructive, you'll want to hit as much as possible.

pretty much if i got maul I wouldn't use it as main pking wep, id go range to maul and risk the gmaul. Hmm I should youtube that.. Where as rapier Id use it al the time and risk dds.


Also maul can get you killed by veng super easy. But Idk if that many level 70-80's have veng

 

Maul for sure, it hits very high consistently and is very deadly.

I'd rather fight a Rapier than a Maul.

You can eat while u hit with a maul and people won't notice.

If you are worried about people KO'ing you with venge when you have a big hit, just have your XP counter open and do an "accidental" safe eat everytime you have a really big hit.

You're 1 Def so I can't suggest you getting a Dwarven Helmet (50 Def), which has the best crush bonus for headgear in the game. But it increases maul accuracy by a very noticable amount.

 

Hmm well I do have a zerk with 46def that If I get turm on would be close to 50. But i blew tokens on rapier lol. Either way thanks for the dwarven mine helmet tip. Right now the account is training range. Level 65. Range was level 1 last night and now its 65. I got my training pants on atm haha

 

Or, be an all out ass kicking pure like me in prossy with turmoil. Use a ring of vigour to claws< Korasi's lmao.... Finish it off with a chaotic maul strike... They won't survive 99.99% of the time..

 

I got both and the maul has the ability to hit over half their hp :/ so just wait for the exp counter to come high and bash that gmaul ;3

I just got a rapier, I'm happy, cmaul is no skill and woudl get boring extremely quick. Rapier is also good for training str or att...

 

if you're going to kill zerk pures then take maul, couse i have maxed turm, and using rap... maulers owning me much :x

 

If you want to fight other pures/zerks, maul.

If you want to make cash pking, killing dumb mains, rapier.

And just use any spec wep with it

 

Maul is good but slow.. Easy to pull off some sneaky ass combos

I like the rapier though. I would use miasmic barrage to rapier than DDS. They didn't stand a chance..
