I'm about to be a senior in college (majoring in Management) and I'm taking finance 302 over the summer. It's 4 weeks long, 5 days a week, and class is 12:00-1:45 every day. Has anyone taken FI 302 before, or anyone taking/taken summer college courses?

I'm Pre-Med, so I can't help on the Finance course. I have, however, taken several summer courses. Last summer I took condensed PHY 231 and 232 courses. Seems similar to what you're taking, in terms of course length. Honestly, due to the speed that we went through the material, I found it a bit more challenging than expected. I did, however, have work 40 hours a week as well as a cross country coaching job, so I was always a bit short on time.

In general, summer courses seem a bit easier than the full semester courses offered at the university, IMO. They're just a bit rushed. Time management and keeping on track with course work were the biggest challenges.

Honestly, I liked the accelerated speed at which summer classes go. During the Fall and Spring semester, I feel like there are way too many lull periods, and it drags on for far too long for the actual amount of work I'm doing. Don't get me wrong sometimes it's a lot, but sometimes not so much.

I haven't taken finance courses since High School, but you should be fine. Finance is probably a class that's better to take accelerated in the summer than a long, drawn out Fall/Winter semester class.

Lastly, I find that professors are much more forgiving in summer courses. Because of acceleration, they are, in my experience, less harsh on tests and quizzes.

    You'll be fine, good luck!
