ok if you want a simple way of doing it yourself? make a silver xbox account at www.xbox.com use any email it doesnt take long than log in on the site.
next click your gamertag name near the top and you should see manage profile than click redeem code you can test yourself. easyer than letting other people do it for you but im not 100% sure if ti activates it on the acc or asks if you want 2 redeem it so ya.

If you enter the code onto xbox.com it WILL redeem it. Only try it if you are prepared to have 4000msp added to a silver account if the code works.

I wold suggest using an Xbox seeing as when you input a code it asks you if you would like to redeem it after entering the code.

 

you have to have the cards charged like a phone card. they probably dont have n e thing on them. the cards that are packaged in plastic are the ones prepaid
