Hey need help with fps in games

Hey I have an hp envy dv7 laptop with i7 intel and nvidia geforce gt 625M graphics card (fully updated). And randomly after using an HDMI to connect my computer to the TV it's been lagging everywhere. Just typing this has some fps problems. This is a brand new problem and I don't understand what is going on. Netflix isn't running and I have no big applications running in the background. This problem happens in youtube videos (they are buffered fully but still stuttering) all video games (rs and LoL I'll be running 30 fps fine and then it will go down to 10 fps in fights and stuff it's really bad)

Any help would be great! Thank you guys.

 

This is more than likely linked to the HDMI connection, it requires more work from the system seeing as it is being displayed in a better input/output. Look for an alternative from HDMI, try looking for graphic card drivers or try a different HDMI cable. Another good bet would be to go to your local PC store and tell them about your problem.

 

Yeah well it's when I uplugged it it has been been having fps problems ever since then

 

Completely uninstall and reinstall your drivers, see if that helps. Sometimes a bad driver install can cause issues.

 

Make sure that your power settings are set for max performance.
