Runescape HD using more...

Runescape in HD is using more CPU then World of Warcraft.
Why on Earth would a game like Runescape use that much CPU? Could someone explain this to me?

 

Because its being loaded through a browser instead of a client which has all the files ready.

Also, WoW has a very low amount of RAM used up in the first place. It's a well made game.

 

True gears is right, normal runescape still uses more usage then WoW lol. I use nearly a gig of internet a day on runescape with my bots -.-

 

yeah it's a give and take

with runescape you don't need to download like 10GB worth of files, but it uses more CPU to run.

 

Also in my opinion wow care about there customers, you know telephone line and emails, where as jagex just see $$$ signs, So i don't think they care about the 14 year-old who just saved up to buy members to find out there pc cant support full screen hd

 

It's not so much that with a halfway decent and up to date computer you're not lagging your whole system.
It could be worse.

 

I rather download 10GB than spending 50$ a year extra on a electricity bill.

It's mostly fine for me, you'll probably find that Direct X rendering mode lags from time to time even on the highest systems. This is due to poor coding/utilisation of the actual graphics system in my opinion, which partly explains why I lag when there are a lot of people, and why loading time takes a while in some cases. OpenGL and others seem to be fine for me, and also try turning down your graphics settings just a touch.

 

Id gladly download 10 GBs of files for runescape if i never lagged.

I already have 3 versions of wow.. 4 if you count cataclysm.

I never knew that..
But I just use Safe Mode.
