    In market for new laptop

Sup broz. I'm currently in the market for a new laptop that I can use for gaming and some schoolwork alike.
I'm not trying to spend more than $600 at the moment either. I'm not super tech savvy so I figured I would come get the latest scoop on what's out there!
Any suggestions let me know, thanks!

My top pick for Price-Performace on bestbuy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-a...-drive-obsidian-black/6030319.p?skuId=6030319

A couple of things you want to look at when buying a laptop for gaming is that you have a dedicated graphics card and a CPU capable of handling the games you want to play.

here are some minimum requirements that I'd recommend for your laptop:

    1920x1080 resolution
Dedicated graphics card that performs higher then a GT740M
Core i5 or i7 of atleast the 4th generation with atleast 4 cores (includes HyperThreading)
    8GB of ram
    15'6 inch screen.
    128gb SSD Boot Drive.

For additional storage, you can always remove the onboard DVD writer and replace it with a HDD/SSD Caddy. Then you can buy a 500GB-1TB 2.5 Inch SATA storage device for a cheap price and use that for games and media storage.

If you want a second thought on a laptop you've selected, I'd be glad to review it and give pointers on why it is or isnt a laptop suitable for your needs.

Refurbished just means that the product had a previous owner, the sale of refurbished products usually comes with a description of the product if there is something wrong with it, refurbished products usually function the way you would expect from a new product, unless otherwise is specified.

So, when a product is sold as refurbished, it gets tested by the company that sells it first, because it needs to be deemed suitable for sale obviously. If it works fine but has a minor scratch on the outer case, you can count on a decent discount when it gets sold, even though it works the same as a new product would.

I personally have bought lots of refurbished and second hand products in the past and continue to do so to this day. I have never had problems with refurbished products. Also, if the product doesnt match the description that the company provided, then you are entitled to a refund. Social media is a powerful tool to reach out to companies.
