Shooting Games VS Sports Games

So me and my brother have a bet going to which genre of games is more enjoyable overall. So I thought I'd ask the Sythe community and have you guys decide which genre is better Sports games or Shooting Games. Mainly for the Xbox 360 but I suppose it could count for any console.

Honestly i can't stand sports games or anything that isn't shooter, i just find myself bored and not enjoying it as much as shooting up people, and to me there is more strategy. (Some would beg to differ but it's just what i think)

 

Other than fifa i like shooters more than sports games.

 

I use to enjoy playing american football, besides that I just play FPS

Shooters are much better, sports are more repetitive imo, shooters involve more strategy.

 

I agree somewhat, but really every game is if you think about it. Some sports games do take a fair amount of strategy. At least Madden does.

For sports games I only play Madden and for FPS I only play COD. Basically I'm just pitting the two against each other and COD has been lack luster for me post COD4 - That game was amazing. I'd have to say I love sports games.

At the end of the day though, did you really have to make the bet? It's pretty obvious that there are more FPS fans, nearly everyone with a console has a FPS

Depends on the game but every game is repetitive in the end.

Like Bleed Duke said, Madden requires quite a bit of strategy through which plays you will pick, your adjustments, pre-snap reads, post-snap reads etc
If you play a sports game like wrestling or something stupid like that it's more about button mashing which requires no strategy
When it comes to COD no one acts like a team so there is no strategy
In a game like Battlefield however there is more strategy

Shooting games! Theres way more things to do on shooting games, Sport games you pretty much just do one thing

 

I like shooting games better.
