    Rant [Darkscape]

    I'm the type of person that has to say what's on his mind, or I talk to myself endlessly, hoping for some sort of conformation. This is personally what I feel about Darkscape. I'm not really good with speak on camera, I seem to talk better in a typed out format.


    So basically, I fucking hate Darkscape, I fucking hate the concept, I hate its ugly face, I hate everything about the mode, it's sickening, stagnant, boring and a cop out to appeal to the small minority of those that only player kill, and it's not even the fact that the game is all PvP, its the fact that there's absolutely no handicaps for blatantly abusing the system to reek the rewards as if you were normally pking. Me? I'm abusing the lack of monitoring inherent in the system to bot. I couldn't care less. The shitty decision making of wanting the game to be "All pvp, always wanted to pk anywhere, here's your chance!". No, people are doing what they normally do on a Regular RS3/OSRS, skill, make money, merch or PvM. Nobody is using the system to actually PK, people are using the system to justify ragging as a logical take on an, "Everywhere is open PvP, game".

    It's not even the fact that dying is an issue, because it isn't. Nobody is gearing up, going out and actually PKing to get sick rewards. People are going out with a Rune Spear and killing people as if they were normally pking at Edgeville, and, quite frankly it's fucking retarded. The guards system is retarded, the experience system, holy shit balls don't even get me started on the whole "Members get more experience, but everything else is free", facade. When I saw the benefits members obtained through the Darkscape system, I actually wanted to go out and donate to a charity. Member is free, why would limit what non-members have? It makes 0 sense, they already have 2 games where half the content is cut, unless you're a Member, where is the fucking logic, because you can obtain member through in-game means??

    The system for GE's makes even less sense, I mean, I understand the whole "We have to split what's more in demand in different zones", spheel, but it's all mindless banter. Like, kiss High Risk GE goodbye as nobody is ever going to risk their loot going into a High Risk GE to buy item, I mean even transferring items from Taverly to Catherby is an endevour.

    Once the economy for this mode topples, like 70% of the community is leaving to go back to farming OSRS full time.

    Yeah. I mean I get where they're coming from but they had to see this bullshit coming. why would I play darkscape to pk when the pking experience in 07 is so much better?

    why would I play darkscape to skill/merch when my stats are already on my 07/rs3 accs?

    noble idea but was destined to never work.

    I always loved the concept of PvP worlds. However, they were improperly implemented and everyone just camped banks. I haven't played darkscape, but PvP everywhere would actually be fun to play if the bank camping issue were fixed.

    That's not even the issue in this, is the value of ragging in this mode is astronomical. The intended purpose of this mode was to allow players to PvP everywhere, not wear 1 item and kill bots all day.

    The problem is that whilst the game is full pvp, the impact from dying is little to no effect, so it becomes mindless ragging and 1 item prodigies..

    However, as I've said before. If they'd incorporated the "dead man" logic, it would be far better. If you died and then you lost 50% of your exp, as well as your entire bank.. You'd gear to the max, for any possible scenario with escapes planned in advance, as if you die.. The consequences are severe. This will make a fight with other players much more intense, and a completely different version of the game we've all played for so many years.. This however, is a joke. The taste they're giving you of dead man, is improperly implemented and they've missed the main attraction of it.

    Oh. Yeah, raggers/1 itemers are shit. I used to do the heal other/stat spy smite lure solo with spellbook swap, but this was back in PvP worlds.

    Yes and this will have pvp everywhere and you lose 1/2 the xp when you die( you get to save 2 combat and 3 skills) and your bank gets raided

    So ragging will not be a thing in 07 like it is on darkscape

    The problem is that the weapon has too much of an impact on your combat ability in RS3. If it wasn't for that, people would risk more instead of simply one iteming.
