What are account upgrades?

[Pakistani]

I see there is a forum selling account upgrades what are they?

[RsSalesGuy]

It's when you upgrade your runescape account (HINT)

The upgrade gives you more access to stuff around Runescape.

Usually costs 5.95$ a month...I don't know if I can make it any more obvious.

[RsSalesGuy]

Oops.

[Pakistani]

What does that mean? You confused me even more...

[RsSalesGuy]

Are you serious...What cost $5.95 a month on Runescape..That upgrades your account....Starts with a M

Membership but why is that any different to membership sales?

[Pakistani]

Oh wait just realized there's no membership sales section what happened?

[RsSalesGuy]

Because it was in a way illegal,so it's called this now because Sythe found a way around it to not get in trouble.

[Usmann 411]

Instead of selling/buying pins (illegal), you give your account to someone and they make it members through some means unknown to both the buyer and Sythe. Pretty much the same thing but both the buyer and Sythe aren't participating in anything illegal.
