Whats the risk of being banned for buying gold?

Hey, I recently got into Runescape again after a lot of years of not playing, or short stints of playing for a week. I'm interested in doing a large purchase of around $75~ in OSRS gold what are the odds of being banned? Should I try to get my seller to stake it to me?

 

I never hear of buyers getting banned for rwt, so it's not high risk. It would be beneficial on their part to take action against sellers only.

You wont get banned. I have done so many gold trades and no bans at all.

 

You will certainly be fine. I only returned to RS a few weeks ago and right off the bat i purchased 50 mil, and then some skilling, and then 60 mil on top of that. Nothing happened to me whatsoever, and my orders are absolutely minuscule compared to many trades occurring day to day.

 

Yeah there is no risk there not interested in people buying gold.

 

Basing off that you only purchased an low amount of gold I do not see that you will get banned for it.

The ones who purchase gold rarely get banned since Jagex prime goal is of course the suppliers, the gold sellers. You can rest well knowing that you are perfectly safe, goodluck with your account!

 

I wouldn`t worry about getting banned, Jagex aims for gold sellers mainly rather than buyers and to people that sell/buy really massive amounts of gold. Im talking about people that trade multiple billions each month, only then the chances of getting banned starts to get quite high.

In the end it also depends on luck whether you get caught or not but if you do just few hundred mills you should be fine.

Also I`d suggest using old account with clean history rather than a new fresh account as new accounts are monitored more closely.
