If coinking remains banned for not refunding people without "correct pms" or w/e then leanbean should be banned, in any situation if it wasnt a staff member the person who "scammed" would be banned temporarily at least just as a safety precaution.
This drama just reminds me of ddyce bullshit when ranks got fucked over by the owner. Dont enforce bullshit "rules" if you dont even stick to them yourself.

What would you say about an outdated PM? How long till it's considered invalid? Because I don't see a difference if it's a day or a month. People can get hacked overnight.

You may as well enforce the rule that for every trade a PM is required. We have members like stakers or lucky gamblers that pop on every so often to dump a few hundred or thousand dollars worth of gold. They have a trusted buyer added (as an example) who they have been selling to the past few years on and off. They dont come on Sythe often. Possibly forget, or dont bother, asking for a PM. The trusted buyer sees an opportunity and fucks him over. It's like giving trusted people a chance to scam without getting caught. This was done before, thousands of dollars was lost.

It's a long standing rule and we have it for a reason.

While your scenario of the mod-gone-rouge is possible, what's more likely is that a mod's skype will be targeted for hacking by one of the numerous, numerous serial scammers we are constantly trying to keep off the site, whereupon, if this rule wasn't in force, that scammer would scam every last person on that contact list.

If people are aware that they have to get a PM before doing any trade with any user, then a scammer who hacks a skype would have no luck scamming the contacts on that person's list.
