    Paypal Gift?

How do you know if a payment is sent as a gift? Because whenever someone sends it as a gift, it doesnt show up as a paypal gift, it just shows as payment sent. Any suggestions?

    Paypal Gift?

Ermmm don't accept Gifts, get them to send as "Service" and then claim and cancel. Gifts have been nerfed, and are now disputable.

Only thing with that, is how do you know that the buyer has actually done the claim and cancel with the funds?

    Paypal Gift?

Says "Gift From" instead of "Payment From"

You get them to file a claim, you verify it (It'll say "Open Disputes (1)" where it should say policy at the right hand side), then after you verify the claim is opened, you ask them to close it, then verify again. It's what I do with every customer I have.

You can notice it by the fees, usually fees from gifts are like $0.01 - $0.10 and Payment Fees are like $0.50 or more

gift has no fees, if they send you $35.00 then you get $35.00. I am not to sure about the dispute gift statement tho.

Gift still works, you'll just not notice it's a gift or not.

The problem with this is that if the buyer pays the fees, you will not see any fees at all.

It'd say something like this if the seller (you) paid the fees:

    Transaction Amount : $3.50 USD
    Fee : $0.35 USD
    Received : $3.15 USD

If the buyer (the other person) paid the fees:
    Transaction Amount : $3.50 USD
    Fee : $0.00 USD
    Received : $3.50 USD

Okay nvm, still for normal Transactions, you'll see a fee, if you do, then it's a transaction. When it's a gift, there are no fees.

Same thing applies to money sent for "Goods". If the buyer pays the fee, it's invisible to you. =/ ! A way you can help prevent scammers by scamming you like this though, is by requiring a picture of the 2nd page of the send money. It'd look something like this : (NOTE: The fee must be 10% of the total money sent or less!)

EDIT: NO, IT'S NOT PINK! IT'S LAVENDER!
