Does Jagex watch over certain IP addresses more carefully if you have had a botted account before on that IP address?

Im not sure if they watch your ip, or just the flagged account. I think they just watch the account that has been flagged. I was banned on one account a while back so I just started up another and continued botting, I was never banned on the second account, and have done twice as much, if not more, botting with it.

    just the flagged account.
the only reason an IP address would be flagged/banned is hijacking

I really don't think Jagex cares enough to look over botter's IP's. If 1 in 10 RuneScape accounts have been botted on, then even that is 200 thousand accounts. As far as I know there are over 20 Million RuneScape accounts registered, and about 10 Million active, with over 1 million being members.
    Big numbers, hey?
I don't think Jagex is winning the fight against botting, with new bots being created every day - new antiban, smart adaptations, one day bots will just be undetectable.
Look, i really doubt they look over people's IPs unless they have consecutively broken the rules of RuneScape... I had a friend once called Liam, and he was a hardcore botter. He had a VPS which disguised his IP, and he botted on it with more than 50 accounts. One day he woke up and his VPS IP had been banned, I don't know how, but Jagex booted his IP from thier system. If this every happens to you, follow these simple steps to change your IP and get back into the game.

Get to a command prompt. (START, run, cmd).

Type "ipconfig /release" (without the quotes, on the command line by itself).
Type "ipconfig /renew" (without the quotes, on the command line by itself).

Thanks for reading, good luck botters.

Where did you get those statistics, 9ww?

They seem pretty made up to me.

If Jagex had 50 million paying members then they'd be pulling in about $300m per month.

As it is I think the correct and most recently released statistic stated that they had just over a million paying members, and that they had a couple million active accounts - nowhere near 100 million though.

They only watch your account more closely if you you have been flagged / suspected of rule breaking or botting.

this is not correct. yes it would work if u just had a modem. but if your running a router on your network all that will do is renew your local ip address not the wan ip address.

If you mean changing your IP? Then the answer is no! It's completely legal to change your IP, but it is illegal to change someone else's, I think it counts as identity theft, I'm not sure...

Thing is only 1 acc bots on this IP and has never been reset. And I was thinking of starting a few trash accounts and doing some 24/7.
