Can't eat

I haven't been able to eat for the past two days so far, my stomachs hurting, and I'm not sure what to do. I've decided to go to the doctors as soon as my parents get home, hopefully they'll take me. Can you guys think of anything though otherwise? I don't have a car here, and no way of paying without my parents to get there. They'll be home in 10 hours though.

What do you mean by "haven't been able to" - you throw up what you eat?

 

No, I just literally can't swallow it. I throw up most of what I eat usually, so right now I'm throwing up nothing cause I can't eat. (I have a bad case of GERD)

I don't have a sore throat, and I've tried eating different types of food.


I understand this isn't the place, but there's still hope.

 

Well, if you literally can't swallow it, my advice would just be to go to a medical professional ASAP. You could try to get a ride from someone else?

 

In highschool but I'm homeschooled. Parents work an hour away minimum, and can't just leave work. Brother with the car doesn't have a phone.

 

Purée/blend things until you're able to seek medical advice? there's 1001 things that could cause it.

 

I had something a few years ago called Gastroenteritis, it was going around our town and unfortunately I caught it, and it's exactly as you're describing, I could only drink water and even then it hurt to swallow and I'd be sitting in my room with a bucket by my side every time I tried to eat, there are antibiotics for it, I'm sure the doctor will help you with if that's the case. 10 hours isn't that long to wait, so just hold on tight and maybe sleep it out? Or rest.

Interesting really. Part of the 7 year course to become a chef is doing the hood handling course which is a legal pass to handle food. now what the fuck does this have to do with anything? you might ask;

Gastroenteritis , is a form of Norovirus, which either comes from 2 things;
- Uncooked shellfish/poorly cooked (chemical contamination)
- Lack of personal hygene

Usual cases of food poisoning via norovirus last 24-74 hours and sometimes even more. it has the same symptoms as the normal flu bud i believe gastroenteritis causes inflammation of the large intestine (i believe)

Contact a doctor, he will give you some anti biotics and the actual scource of the virus and you'll be fit in a few days.

You say you have extreme GIRD? I have very extreme GIRD. The most calming thing for my stomach is grapes. I prefer them in the frozen form but they're a natural stomach relaxant and they don't produce excess acid therefore a good alternative to most snacks. As for your current situation sit tight. Maybe take a tums or ant-acid. If you can hold it down Pepto-Bilsmol is a life saver for people with GIRD like us. Currently I take Pantoprazole Magnesium pills for my GIRD. They got rid of the stomach ulcer I had aswell and now they settle my GIRD to the point where I can function. Keep me updated I can try to suggest other things revolving around dealing with your GIRD.

 

I had this same problem around the same time of year 4 years ago, i couldn't eat anything for 5 days, anytime i took a bite of anything no matter what it was i threw it up, i kept getting cold sweats and then hot sweats at the same time. Eventually i went to the doctor and they gave me antibiotics and told me to eat fruit and ice cubes, and to drink plenty of water even if it makes you feel sick. I went to the doctors on the third day, i'd recommend trying to find another ride to the doctors if it gets much worse before your parents are able to take you. Hope that helps.

I belive water is the best answer, and a lot of Fruit that has been blended into a Liquid form.

 

Even when I drink water, I throw it up. Obviously, I don't regurgitate everything I eat, but I'll regurgitate 15 times a day, minimum. Even when I don't eat, pure stomach acid comes up. I've tried taking multiple different medicines, nothing helps it, I'll be getting surgery sometime this upcoming summer if we can pay for it.

As for my problem, I'm taking antibiotics and shizz. I passed out in the car, but it's better now. Thanks for the help guys.
