Any suggestions? I'm going to attempt to code it, even though coding is not my strong point.

Also, in your opinion, is the above one or the current one (currently http://www.xsafire.com as of 3/5/10) better? I didn't do as much editing as I would like to personalize the current one, as it is just a template.

Thoughts, feelings, concerns, ideas, comments, questions?

Edit: You can see progress here http://xsafire.com/testsite/

    1) your blending could be far better - the contrast between say the top box and the general page is far too great, grabbing attention to everything rather than say a focal of the website.

    2) Choose a palette before starting - the white/all the different tints and shades of blue/purple subhead don't all go.

    3) Drop shadows are way too obvious, lower the opacity.

    4) Simplicity is sexy, don't overdo the web 2.0 look with the arrows and everything.

Overall good job, don't code it until you're sure you can't make any improvements though :)
