This is the first gfx piece I did today, I just recently got Photoshop CS6 and thought I'd give it a try..
I followed a tutorial on youtube and thought it turned out...alright.. definately not as good as some of the other pieces here though.

Just would like some feedback. What I should do in the future, etc..

Where is the tutorial you followed, im gonna murder the uploader.

This is gonna sound harsh, but thats how i give CnC.

Text - In the corner, shows me your a beginner, look up the rule of thirds, and use that for both text and render placement.
Render - Use rule of thirds, also always hold in shift when resizing, he looks a bit squashed.
Colors - You got green C4Ds, with a blue stock, with yellow text. You wanna have it all flow, nevertheless your situation can be resolved with gradient maps and filters, but that wouldnt help this piece.

Believe me Ive seen worst first pieces, keep reading the tuts and learn the basics of art (not just the photoshop tools, but those are important too) and you'll be making great pieces.

I deleted my history, so I couldn't find the video again :(.
I understand about the C4D, I just couldn't get it to colour balance with the blue stock. And as for the text, I didn't know what colour to go with so I just went with a random one. I'm looking up on the rule of thirds now. I appreciate your feedback, It's my first piece, I wasn't expecting anything amazing. I will give it a shot another time. :)

Basically like mentioned above. The thing that stood out to me the most (in a bad way) was the opposing colors.

In addition to this, when it comes to the text often simpler is better. The thing I see when I look at what you made is that the resources you used don't blend at all, they just look like they've been placed upon each other arbitrarily. Try out sigtutorials.com as whatever youtube tutorial you followed was rubbish.
