How do you put good music on a youtube video without breaking any of their rule/copyright? I tried the music they provide but most is crap.

If you give credentials in the movie and you post under them you should be fine I believe.
If I'm not mistaking there's also an option somewhere where you can name the official author or something..

You can get permission from any band, essentially. I got permission from Shiny Toy Guns. I asked, replied within the day when they were on tour.

There's many channels on YouTube that provide uncopyrighted music, and its free to use 100% of the time. You have a better chance of getting people to give you permission by providing details in the description.. etc.

First, you can try and ask for permission. Another thing you can do is to post credits such as author of the song, and what not. However, using Copyrighted Music is a bad choice and you might get a strike.

there are tons of channels out there that make and put out un coppyright music and it sounds amazing.

    http://www.youtube.com/user/byebyecopyright

The above channel is by far my FAVORITE channel to get un coppyright music off of, as they upload all different kinds of music, and fits tons of videos.

another i thing is when i would use a well known song i just put in the end of the description:

    "Disclaimer:

I do not own or claim to own any of the songs in this video, all credit goes to the original makers."

    something like that.
