    Website Being Mimicked

Hey, a couple months back I started working on a RS gambling website called RsVegas. Recently I've started working on the project again and I noticed that someone opened up a site (RsGamble) which offers the exact same concept as my own website. There's nothing wrong with another person using the idea, however they literally copied our HTML, CSS, Javascript, and images (All information which can't be hidden).

    Our site: www.rs-vegas.com
    Copy site: www.rsgamble.org

Other than small changes to the colour and a different logo they've copied the site directly. If you inspect the elements you can see that they were even sloppy enough to leave links to our site in their source. He also copied all my forum posts explaining how my site works.

Doesn't seem like there's much I can do to protect my intellectual property, any ideas how to go about putting a stop to this guy copying my stuff?

I don't know much about the law and intellectual property but from a sudden look, that looks a lot like copyright.

You could threaten him with the law and see if he flees but other than that I don't know how I can help, sorry.

You could try PMing one of the players on Sythe who run sites and ask them if they can provide any useful advice.

    Hope it gets sorted out.

Sounds like a battle between two entrepreneur's. Also who are you to say that it was your idea. The website creation dates say different.

Even if they look similar, it's not like they have a very similar URL, they wont gain traffic out of copying the look of your site. Most gold sites look very similar too.

If you wanted to keep your anonymity you really shouldn't have made your forum name the same as the administrator on your website (http://i.imgur.com/L7q9F.jpg).

And a couple things, website creation date means nothing. Just because I didn't have a website up doesn't mean I hadn't thought of the idea by that point. The idea was conceived long before that, you can ask some reputable members of this site who I ran the idea by ages ago. Like I said in the OP, copying someone's idea is completely fine. But when you go and copy someone's work and property that's a completely different story.

Found this searching your alt account's name (proxified) on google: http://www.powerbot.org/community/topic/772959-playing-poker-for-rsgp/#entry9374127. You seem pretty upset that this guy tried using your idea yet you have no problem completely copying someone else's work.

Disputed all of your accounts on here btw, have fun vading.
