There are plenty of free recording programs online that will save locally to your PC and not cause lag. Personally, i recommend OBS or Fraps.

These videos will be very important in case you are scammed or believe you were wronged as a renter.

Without the videos, you could be booted off the account at any time, lose your items, and be unable to prove that this has occurred.

Please note that you must provide video evidence in order to file a scam report against an account lender for booting you off an account you're renting. Extremely damning evidence (i.e., the lender admitting to booting you off) suffices, but in a vast majority of cases, a video will be necessary.

Facebook associating with RS Account Scam:

Remember to check your facebook/runescape account associations before and after EVERY transaction involving someone else having access to your account.

This method was recently highlighted in the suggestions forum and makes your accounts very liable to being raided, they dont even need your Runescape password to do it, just as long as they've used your account at least once to associate with it.

A way of preventing this is doing it yourself or making sure its not associated after EVERY transaction such as an upgrade or service performed on your RS account, or even bought accounts.
