Range or melee nomad.

Starting Nomad's Requiem today. Was wondering if i should range or melee him. Here are my melee and ranged gear.

Range: Elite void top, elite void robe, void gloves, void range helm, chaotic crossbow, snakeskin boots, amulet of glory, spirit shield, diamond(e) + ruby(e) bolts, rigour prayer.
Melee: Elite void top, elite void robe, void gloves, void melee helm, chaotic maul, dragon boots, amulet of glory, piety.
Stats: 99 strength, 93 attack, 91 defence, 79 summoning, 95 ranged, 90 magic, 74 prayer, 98 constitution.

Aswell, could you recommend a familiar, inventory and familiar inventory for me please.

 

Stick to the Ruby E bolts, ditch the Diamond, and use a Spirit Kyatt with about 300 (just to be safe) Ambush scrolls in your inventory.

Bring 1 or 2 Super Restores (probably only need 1, depending on your Prayer) and the rest Sara Brews.

Your main goal will be to mash your Familiar Special button as much as possible. Sara Brews will lower your Range to basically nothing without Super Restores, but it won't matter - Kyatt will do the damage for you, and Ruby E special hits the same no matter what your Range level is at.

Brew when needed, top up Prayer when needed, and he'll die in no time.

For the second part where you need to be in Melee distance, protect melee. It doesn't completely negate damage, but it slows his attacks by a lot.
