they are crashing hard now, any ideas when they will bottom out?

 

Would be nice if they dropped to like 10M, a lot of bots are putting onyx's into the market.

 

Yeah they were quite stable at about 13m before the TzHarr fad. I'm guessing 10m or so. Shame, I liked having my Fury worth so much, considering I bought it in 06 for like 7m >_<

Yes, indeed. The economy is recovering from the big inflation that we saw before Dungeoneering. Now the recession is even sped up by Chaotic weapons and Korsai devaluing several valuable boss drops.

Up until recently, Fury has been avoiding this trend, though. They've been slowly rising for months, despite the hundreds of new onyxes each month from the bots. However, I think someone has recently dumped billions of GP worth of them, so the price is now beginning to plummet. The artificial peak was caused by several people hoarding them in the first place.

 

Can anyone tell me why the prices got jacked so high for these things?
Back when I quit, they were about 3.9 or so.
What caused it to shoot up so high?

 

Jagex nerfed the method of obtaining onyxes that was there in 07. People would sell Fire/Chaos Runes to the store for Tokkul, so the price of a Fury reflected the price of the runes it took to buy them. This method no longer works, so now really the only feasible way to get onyxes is to kill TzHarr.

Also, the addition of Kuradal, almost a dozen new bosses, and generally just more high-levelled players drove up the demand. They have since been hoarded. All of these drove up the price slowly from the 10m that they settled on for several months after the update.

Bots are creating uncuts a lot faster than furies are lost at corp, in pvp, or otherwise.

Hence, I think that furies won't be stable again until Jagex swings the banhammer in the direction of the tzhaar botters.

 

Normaly takes jagex a while to drop the banhammer so im guessing the furys are going to have a massive drop.

 

i'd like to be able to buy a fury for 3.9m, like the old days

I have no idea when they will stop dropping...but hopefully it is lower than 10m, the price they have gotten to is ridiculous >_<

used to love making 30m per week here. Tzhaars are great. Perfect Fighter ftw.
