Was it THIS bad back in 07?

I don't remember scamming and glitches being so bad and abused!
Maybe it's because now scams and lures and posted on the RS Forums where everyone reads them.
Why does it seem like it's SO bad?
I'm I missing something?



And on a side note, I hate how multy PKing is dead. Weapons are over powered and glitches need to be fixed.

 

It wasn't. RWT is currently huge in RuneScape, and scamming can be a great way to make mills if you're good at it. I'm not completely sure what glitches you're referring too, but I'm sure over time JaGeX will fix them. As for weapons being overpowered, this has been the case for awhile now.

 

runescape was and will always be very corrupt.

 

Scams were always this common, luring less so, glitching even less so. But what can you expect, of course things are going to be in a ruckus for the first few months.

 

It's like a cat that has been caged for years with little mice constantly taunting it. Jagex now let the cat back out of the cage. Yes, the cat is currently rampaging, but it'll calm down in a month or so.

Still, it'll never be the same as it was in 07-10. Limiting trading made it very, very safe for someone to have your password. The best they could have done is drop your items, but there isn't much incentive to do that.

 

Perfect analogy. I find it sad people fail to realize it's only been a few days, and there's bound to be a large amount of dirty playing.

It's been a few days and glitches are still up since the update.
People have lost millions to them.
The PJ system is ridiculous, how can numerous people PJ you in 1v1 combat? That's retarded.

They are things that should be fixed as fast as the time Construction glitch led to PKing outside the wild.

 

This is nowhere near as bad as the Falador Massacre. As it is right now, you're 100% safe except when in a dangerous activity such as PKing or staking. They changed the code of the duelling arena and wildy several times without having to bug-check for the possibility of PKing/Staking in these areas, so it'll take a while for them to iron it out. Honestly, I expected as much.

 

It was exactly this bad in 07. Maybe worst, but im unaffected so im fine.

There are no super-smart scams in RS.
If you just use common sense, you shouldn't EVER get scammed!

 

I've never been scammed, I've scammed people or tricked them numerous times with tricks like the mystic/whip ect.

and my main complain is the Infinite special on 1v1 combat,
OP weapons made multi a deserted area for everyone.
The staking glitch has been here for a few days and people have lost countless gold.

I'm not crying, I don't care for people stupid enough to get lured.
But they cry about it, on RS boards and it makes it seem like its gotten a lot worse than before.

 

Pjing wasn't as bad, people were doing it as much but now with korasi sword people die a hell of alot more :embar:

As for scams/lures etc, it was alot worse man, only real difference is all the youtube heroes posting vids every person they kill lol.
