    Warranty help?

So my laptop screen is shattered and I decided I'm going to replace it myself. My only concern is that this may void my warranty according to best buy but we all know most of the time best buy makes up shit to try and fool people into spending loads of money (in this case they tried to convince me to pay them 425$ so they can replace it + money for the screen LOL). A friend of mine said if you just open the screen part and replace it they wont know that you opened it. So is this true? And if it isn't does anyone know any tips/tricks to replace the screen without them knowing? BTW no offense to anyone who works at best buy. Please don't post if your not experienced with computers.

    Thanks in advance. :D

    Warranty help?

Don't open it. If you have a warranty through Best Buy use it, because if you void the warranty any time down the road you need any other help you will just be screwed. So are you sure it is a Best Buy warranty and it isn't under manufacturers warranty?

    Warranty help?

I got both manufacturers warranty and a 2 year best buy warranty already asked them but warranty doesnt cover physical damage but my bro said if u just replace screen and u get a problem in the future, like keyboard keys not working for example they will just open up the cpu but not the screen/moniter part of the laptop so they wont know i replaced the screen.

Chances are they will know, they don't just open up the CPU or something like that. They usually do an entire once over of it. I mean they will know if the screen is not factory. Do what you want, but I wouldn't risk breaking warranty.
