Warning To All Gold Sellers If You Use Coinbase/ Anybody Who Uses Coinbase

    Hello all:

I used to use Coinbase like many of the people here, but got banned for breaking their TOS. It would be very simple for someone to get you banned there since most people here are breaking their TOS. Even if you do not break your TOS; you can still get banned since they operate through a low-risk strategy. I will not post how someone can get you banned, but it's not hard and all they would need is your ethereum wallet linked to your coinbase (you give them this when you ask them to pay). If that happens, your funds may get locked for a long time (months or years). If you're not in the U.S, then it will take even longer to get your accounts unlocked since you don't have consumer protect (U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau).

Nobody here should use Coinbase to store funds unless they want to cash out. I highly recommend everybody gets malwarebyte and just buy a nano ledger s or a trezor to store your funds. Double check your seed and learn how to use your device. By double checking, I mean actually deleting your device and checking the 24 word seed (if it works).

Nobody can brute force your device since it would require 29642775000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 possible Mnemonics. We've established that a blockchain cannot be "hacked" the last 10 or so years, so you can't be "hacked". However...

The only actual way you would lose your money is if you fall for DNS hjack when you use MEW. All you would need to do to never fall for this is to NOT ignore certificate warning whenever you use MEW and to verify every transaction on your nano. Your nano will require you to press a button every time you send something and will show you where (check the address) and how much you're sending. If that # is different, then don't press yes on your nano.

    Tl;dr

If Coinbase freezes your account, then you're fked.

    >Get a nano S
    >Setup 24 word seed
    >Update firmware
    >Now delete your nano S
    >Check if 24 word seed works (why? because some people don't write them in order or misspell them on paper)
    >Never type 24 word seed in any computer/store online/ store in cloud/ etc.
    >Store those 24 word seed physically in a place like a bank safe or 2 bank safes in a waterproof/fireproof bag
    >Test a transaction (send for your nano s to coinbase and back) using MEW or the nano ledger S eth app.
    >Now we've established that nano s works
    >Save/bookmark/ remember your address
    >When people ask to pay, send them your address
    >Now you get paid in an Ethereum address in your nano S, you don't have to worry about someone freezing your $.
    >If you want to cash out, then use Coinbase or Localethereum or other services.

Extra info: The only way you can lose your $ is if you get scammed by a script, but you can easily outsmart that. All you have to do is, whenever you send money, look at your nano s and it will show you where you're sending it to and how much. If that does not match (script changes it if MEW or an app gets hacked), then press no or unplug your nano S.
