Main got banned what do you think happened?

So my main account that I purchased over 3 years ago was apparently banned 3 weeks ago. I tried logging in yesterday and realized I had been perm banned. I haven't logged in the past year other than to help a new friend out with literally 1.5m gold and some runes. Would trading him that have banned me or did they do some type of account review?

 

Does it show a ban reason in the account center? Maybe they have a reason why.

 

What is the ban reason when you log into the website?

I should add I had 2fa etc. nobody logged in besides me the past couple years. I haven't RWT'd since I bought it. Do we think they just finally realized the account was purchased ?

I’m kinda doubtful that it’s a ban for the account being bought 2 years ago. By this point, what would flag that? And it could easily just be you moving, etc. It’s not impossible, but seems very unlikely in my opinion.

Did the person you traded gold to get a RWT ban? Or maybe someone you traded recently been hit with a ban? It seems a lot more likely that your account was caught in the crossfire of someone else that was caught RWTing then traded you some gear or a split, or someone on your IP, etc.

 

What was the exact date of the ban? I just found out today 1 of my staker accounts I bought a couple years ago I haven't logged into for months was rwt banned on October 29th. Never had any rwt warnings on it either.

 

So, if you never had a rwt warning. It's likely your friend had traded someone that was either chain banned on lots of accounts and they caught you in the crossfire. Pretty sure if you get a rwt warning & buy gp again they dont even perm ban you. its just a temp ban and they dont remove the gold.

This is very bizarre, and I’ve found that in 10/10 of similar instances, something the user did, that they weren’t being truthful about, caused the ban.

If there really is nothing else going on, then as others have stated, your friend must have been buying/selling GP and you got tagged when they were flagged.

As I said I did buy the account years ago, but for the last 2.5-3 years I've only played ironman. I have logged in on it to give a friend gold once or twice. I am assuming he was RWT a lot and I just got banned for trading him.

 

Maybe the person who created the account's IP was flagged for RWT and all account registrations from that IP were banned?

Maybe the ones who were banned on the 29th were bought from the same guy?
