Account dispute W/Rebecca D

Jist of the story is,
I sold Rebecca D an Rs3/07 account about a few weeks ago with ''Gracious'' as the MM. Earlier today I log in and get a message on Sythe from Rebecca D saying that the account is locked and that I ''need'' to recover it for her or she'll make a scam report against me, (even though I didn't do anything lol, but ok I guess).

Keep in mind I received this PM today at first waking up with less than an hour before I needed to be at work and clocked in for my job.

Now given the nature of the wording from this PM my first instinct was just to say F off, it's not my job to spend hours on a manual recovery form or submitting appeals for her when i gave her the creation information upon the end of the account sale ( and to MiddleMan Gracious).

However, I cba spending time I hardly have going back and fourth with this person. So I sent Rebecca D more information I had so she could submit an appeal herself.

As of right now, I have not heard back from Rebecca D on whether they successfully recovered the account or not, and while waiting and while I have free time I'm posting this.

I did not report Rebecca D for ban Evading to '' try to prevent her from posting a scam report'' as that's ignorant. You can still report someone using an unregistered account, I see YousuckV2 do it all the time with those reports from ''Gunisgod is a scammer'' names, etc.

I reported Rebecca D because I truly believed there is a link between her and Lucky D given the time frame of Rebecca's join date, interests, post styles, and the time frame of Fishy D's ban. Regardless of having sold an account to Rebecca, once I viewed over YousuckV2's notable banned user threads that's when I saw the name ''Fishy D'' and began to look into Rebecca D's history, as I just had a transaction with her and I don't want ban evaders/scammers running around just as much as Sythe staff, especially since I was just scammed myself by Slash.




If Rebecca D is telling the truth and the account is actually locked, then that means there is an appeal pending if a recovery attempt was made, or there were attempts made and appeal(s) was denied. If I had recovered the account and the password were changed, It would not say the account is locked when you attempt to log into it, as it would have been unlocked, and it would just say the password is incorrect when she tried to log into it.

I have no interest in throwing my reputation away like Slashz for pixels, I plan on staying on Sythe for years to come, and that's why I donated $25 just a few days ago ( who the heck donates knowing they are planning to scam, they would benefit off just scamming).

My opinion is that Rebecca D got curious if the info i provided would work if she were to recover the account and got the account locked herself, or she was using the account under a VPN/Proxy or a blacklisted IP or something.

While I'm not sure exactly how this happened, or even if the account is actually locked and what she is saying is indeed true as I have no proof, nor am I psychic, I am posting this precautionary thread as I won't have time later on to type all of this until my next day off, because I'd like to sleep when i get off work for once instead of deal with more drama.

I'm more than willing to verify everything I've typed here, if anyone needs me pm me for my skype info. Keep in mind I work full time, and I'm currently on day 6 of Day 7 (working 7 days in a row) and my first day off is Thursday.

I had nothing to do with the account being locked that I sold to Rebecca D, it's her account now, and she does with it what she pleases. I don't play runescape actively, I don't even have a use for the account.

 

Our Sythe rules actually state that you are responsible to help her recover the account. Her attitude wasn't the best, but regardless, while the possession of the account has transferred, you are still obligated to assist her with regards to recovering the account.

 

Which I've done so, and I understand, which is why I'd rather provide the info.

Since my IP has changed in the past 11 years, It's not as though I can post from that IP. So giving them all the information I can, is helping them.

 

Yeah, I was just clarifying that you are required to assist her.

I'm going to lock this and keep it as reference, so if Rebecca D does eventually report you, we can see that you are indeed making an effort to assist her in recovering the account. We may ask for images of that if a report is made.

If she does create a report because she is unable to recover the account, we will then worry about how to proceed from there.
