    URGENT headphones and mic problem cs go reward for help asap
    I just went out to purchase a headset for cs go I bought Marley headset. It has a built in mic and it's not working it only has one cable to plug in the computer. Will these headphones work ?? I need help now best answer gets a reward in rs gold

    Is it just one USB? You'll need to google the headset and download the drivers. Then make sure that THAT mic is your primary mic via the Recording Devices tab in Windows.

    Ah I'm so bad with technical stuff I thought I could just plug it in and it will work. I guess il just return it, is there any headsets I can buy that you just plug in and it works ?

    if you click the icon he mention and go to playback devices you will find all that you need in there. The sound should be in the playback tab and microphone should be in the recording tab.

    edit: Remember to find the name of your headphones in there don't just set any random thing as default that you see in there or it won't work both for sound and microphone.

    This is the answer you are looking for. Desktop audio typically has split connections for audio out/in while laptops have a dual port. In-line microphone headphones will need a splitter to function correctly on desktops. Otherwise you can use the headset as either a microphone or a headset.

    What are you talking about? There are PLENTY of USB headsets that function both as a mic and a headset.

    2.5mm connections are what I'm talking about. Marley doesn't even make usb

    The microphones on these headsets are designed for use with laptops and phones. It is built in-line with the audio cable (2.5mm) however most onboard audio solutions don't have the ports to run both at the same time. A $1 splitter is all it takes to fix the problem.
