    Joining a high school sport

    Basically,

I've never really done anything in high school.
(sports, been to one dance, ect.)

I am a runner. Love the long distance.

I read in our school newspaper that they needed more runners. So I went to find the coach talked to him and he said that I could still join.

    The decision:

Part of me wants to join it,

    1.Seeing as I love running.
2.Competing in it would be fun since I love competition.
3.It would also help me make new friends (as I lack them :p)

but the other part of me wants to stay with my current schedule since I love it so very much.

    1. Because of the people in it,
    2. Teachers, and
    3. They're all pretty useful. Although I can probably manage to keep it all of the same except one class; web design.

What would you do or what do you think and why?

Go for it. HS is a very short period in a person's life, and by joining clubs/teams and participating in activities, you'd make the best out of it. As for missing people and teacher of one class, oh come on. You can still meet them during lunch or break periods. You should really try expanding socially, and by joining the team, you are.
    Best of luck, enjoy!

Well we can't exactly feel how you do on this decision...
In saying that I would still tell you to go for it. Sport is good fun and will help you socially, mentally and physicaly

its not like its going to take over the rest of your school life? sounds like a great way to stay in shape and meet new people. And if you love the sport you shouldn't turn it down
