How much is too much?

Pretty generic question here.

Recently purchased around 2.2b on one of my alts, transferred it through a few accounts to my main.
No ban after 3 days so I figure I'm ok, after having read through a few forum posts about ban timing etc.


Is it now too soon to purchase another 1.5b, or should I be in the clear?

 

imo ur fine, i dont think they care about the gp buyers as much as they care about the sellers. u should ask the seller if he can do stake/pvp transfer, so u can get it straight to ur main (way safer in my opinion), like if he could die to u in pvp with items worth of the amount/coins.

RWT bans are done manually unless your account is flagged so there's still a chance but you should be safe.

 

if you don't buy gold frequently, you're most likely going to be fine. You're more in trouble if you're a seller in my opinion.

 

It is a lot harder to be banned as a buyer unless you're blatantly buying enormous amounts frequently.
I've sold and bought in the range of 100b+ over the years and have never been banned for RWT, using the same accounts since day one.

Buying is generally a lot safer than selling, you have slim-to-none chance of being banned for buying. I used to have a regular buyer averaging around 1b-2b+ per day and he is still going strong.

 

If it's not a secret, where did your gold come from? Did you earn it or just re-sell?

 

Majority of the gold that I have personally sold has come from 3 different suppliers (whoever was available/cheaper at the time of sale), then re-sold on to my own customers.

The max I've personally earned was around 2b which I then flipped to 10b at the arena which I then sold, but yeah 90%+ was re-selling.

You never know. One of my mules got banned once after trading 16m rs3 gp, RWT always comes with some risk and trading to alt accs in my opinion is absolutely unneccessary as it only increases amount of trades where each trade can be considered as RWT. Jagex doesn't hire smart people but they don't hire absolute idiots aswell, they can recognise mules and main and ban them both.

 

I actually agree with them being able to recognise mules and mains. All of my mules are high level accounts (either maxed pures, 100cb+ mains, etc) with thousands of days on the account since creation (most are 2010 and earlier). None of these have ever been banned, but I have had acquaintances using fresh mules that have been banned (for selling, not buying).

 

What here4money said, do an equal stake at duels 1.5b vs 1.5b if you can and it's literally untraceable.

 

when it comes to bans, whether it'd be botting or rwt, the playtime factor is a huge factor for trying to not get banned in my experience, and I'm pretty sure everyone would agree.

Yeah don't listen to "you're safe" you broke the rules so theyre is always still a chance of getting the ban hammer laid down on you.
You just never know, But if you havent been already banned dont play in fear, continue playing as you would and not stress about it.

 

Not always, ive been banned for selling on a 2k total and that was my first time ever selling any gold. There's always a risk unfortunately no matter how small

 

I never said anything about 2K total and that is pretty low in original Runescape.

 

I came back to the game yesterday after about 6 yrs (acc is 18 yrs old) and I bought 200m. Less than 24 hrs later I was hit with a perma-ban. I logged out and then in and it was gone... so weird. Has this happened to anyone before?

 

I find it hard to believe especially because 200m is such a small amount in RS3. I guess Jagex is very serious about the RWT war against gold buyers now
