Uhhh, can someone help me

A banned user from Sythe sold me an account but then before I joined sythe we traded on Powerbot, the trade was complete and tells me he has another trade on Sythe.org so I joined. Then this user was banned and now I'm going to try to sell the account for more but I feel unsafe selling it as he is banned and also tried selling it here. What should I do? Will I get banned?

 

If you sell it and it gets recovered, you will be banned. PLEASE tell your buyer that you are not the original owner; it's considered very bad to lie about such things. I'm sure this explanation (with proof) would get you unbanned, provided you refund whoever gets scammed.

 

Basically, as you own the account, you should be able to sell it. However, given the person you purchased the account off is banned, it would put your buyer at a greater risk.

In this situation, you should do 3 things:
1. Verify recovery information (perform successful appeal)
2. Inform the buyer that you are not the original owner
3. Provide information of the owner being banned and the trade would be at their own risk.

In doing so, you would be covered on a few grounds (especially if the account is recovered by the original owner and you can recover it back, proving that you weren't the one who tried stealing it). However, since you are the current owner of the account, if it was to be recovered, you would be held responsible.

I do see that you are currently banned, but I felt this may be useful to other members that may come by asking the same question.
