Do you get reset or banned now for botting?

I was wondering if you get reset or just banned if you were to try to bit now and get caught. I don't bot nor have I ever, just curious though.

 

Both. It depends on the instance. Generally, if you're training a "main" account for levels (and not GP) then they tend to reset. If it was a strictly goldfarming account, then it's definitely going to be banned.

 

I've got a random throwaway account I'm botting on now, and it's been rolledback twice, still not banned.

 

only been banned once for letting a mining bot run for 47 hours straight (Forgot about it) Simba is perfectly safe to use

 

Both, an u can also go to court.

 

both yup, happened with me.

 

"Major macroing" = ban.
"Minor macroing" = reset.

Not sure what defines major and minor in Jagex's eyes however haha.
