Its a Javadriveby, alot of people here would fall for it.. So yer I have had around 6 Bots add me saying that exact thing.

 

This is in the wrong section because this is not a suggestion but thanks for the heads up. Hopefully nobody falls for this.

Yeah, I agree an announcement would suffice. With new types of scams coming about it's always good to have announcement to let the whole community know.

My mistake, I did not think you were suggesting an announcement be made rather you were making your own. Then yes I support this, would prevent people from getting hacked. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Why would you go to a chatroom to talk to him? It would be easier if he got MSN than you going there. Seems like a very poor scam.

 

I don't even click links on msn, you can't hover over.
An announcement isn't necessary, just add it to keros note about malicious links.

 

I have a policy myself to never accept adds on msn without prior notification via Sythe PM first. Though I do agree some people would fall for this scam.

 

An announcement would help some of the newcomers on sythe, but imo this is a very poor scam and shouldn't catch anyone. Just be careful clicking links on msn and don't even add anyone until they post on your thead/pm you.

 

I don't really think an announcement should be made every time someone tries to send a driveby to someone else, and from what I can see, this particular one is a pretty weak attempt.

People are expected to be able to fend for themselves. It's not our job to hold everyone's hand.

 

lol I been added by 2 people and I'm pretty sure its a bot because both of them said the exact same thing

 

The thing is, I have already got 2 People addinging me on MSN asking what they should do when because they clicked the link. One of whom has already been hacked.

I also found out they have made around $3,000 in 3 Days and considering people here are also saying they have been contacted by bots saying the same thing more then once.

Will it really hurt to take 2 Mins of your time to make an announcement stating dont click on there link, to save more people from losing money..?

Well, if this is still going on PM me. In the next case this happens, just PM one/more of us mods with the information and if it's serious enough, we'll make an announcement. Just know that announcements get read a LOT less often than active discussion threads do. This thread itself probably got read more than an announcement would.
