Idea for Next Month's Competition

Some ideas:

A rap competition.
Chess tourney.
Poker tourney.
Pool tourney.
Best Photography (Scenery).

Opinions?

 

Im not even sure if we plan to have another competition next month, especially if participation numbers is not good in this one.

Maybe the competition topic is just a fail...

I mean a rap competition would be wayyyy more fun then making a promo video..

 

Compitetion numbers may be low due to half of us being arttisticly challenge. I know i'm not very creative



and i would totally rap the Friday song.

Yeah, I was thinking this as I was rapping on that sticky in the spam forum.

That just brings up another idea. Parody competition... though I'm not sure everyone would bring out their cameras for this.

I've had a few more ideas.

Chess tournament: Self explanatory.
Best scenery competition: Take pictures of sceneries that you think is jaw-dropping. Must be holding a piece of paper with your Sythe name on it.

 

I'm down for a Chess tourny. Reminds me of FireZ and the pool tournament he was setting it up a while ago, why did that not happen again...?

 

I love Chess, but photography isn't my strong point

Poker tourny like in my sig . I think that would be fun..no money or gp would be needed either.

 

I would participate in this. We would need judges that are into rap/hip-hop though.

 

I haven't ever played that but it sounds like it'll be fun.

Yeah, the only person that comes to mind is Ryan. He's the only guy I've ever seen post his own rap here, but nowadays he doesn't come here anymore.

 

I'd love a chess tournament; It'd be an instant win for me, considering my rating is Class A xD.

I would enter in the current competition, however it would take up too much time, considering I have exams around the corner.


I honestly think for a sythe competition to work well, it can't be something to demanding. It has to be something fun, easily accessible, and widely available to all members of the community to participate in.

Taking Guarton's scenery competition for an example. It certainly is fun, however it isn't widely available or easily accessible. Not everyone has a camera, not everyone has access to scenery, and it is very time consuming. It's hard enough to get a good shot (a real good shot) in photography let alone holding and encompassing a piece of paper in it.

 

It worked well on another forum, but I guess that's only because there were a lot more grown-ups there. I'm just putting that out there, for opinions.
