Vouches and memberships/badges

On another forum I frequent, they have two different systems I think might be useful here. Vouches and memberships/badges.

Vouch System: The other forum used to use the same vouch system that is in place here I believe. But now they use one that is within the forum systems.
Threads that are posted in the buy/sale/trade part of the forum have a link above the seller's post of if you are the person that started the thread, you will see the other link.


The links allows you to post feedback on a person you've done business with. Beside each person's post is a link to their feedback(though I'm pretty certain their forum format is not needed to use the system).



Clicking on a person's feedback takes you to a page that gives both a brief and detailed summery of their feedback.



I believe this system will help reduce the amount of faked feedback, disallow users to steal feedback and use it as their own, and just be plain awesome. This system may not be absolutely perfect for this forum, but then neither is the one in use now, and I think it's worth looking into at least.

Membership: I don't know how much you guys make from donations(I actually couldn't even find the link to make donations to the site). But I know that there is a very good chance that the vouch system wont be free. You could allow users to have memberships in exchange for a few perks(like a private forum, a little badge of some sort, increase of certain limits, member only contests, bragging rights, etc), and it that way have money to spend on such features as the Vouch system and maybe even be able to start saving for an actual Sythe mmo game.

Now I didn't post this thread as a, "This forum sucks, obvious I know how to make it better because I have all knowledge on all things," type of post. I honestly believe that these two features could benefit the forums. So um yeah, please don't flame me. *hides*

I think its a decent idea, but can anyone leave feedback? If so it'd be misused

 

Don't rep/thanks systems apply to posts? As in someone posts something, you like it and you give the post a thumbs up, or thanks/rep.

 

No more than the current one can be. People can leave bad feedback now if they wanted. A bad feedback should be treated the same as a scam report. Not allowed unless proper evidence is provided.

 

Feedback will still be consider as rep =.= Please don't deny it.

 

seems like a idea founded in good logic,plus more revenue for the site so idk why they wouldnt want it
