I've made many, many deals on gfx, and to me it seems unfair that vouching for graphic sales aren't allowed. I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed, if someone makes a legit trade offering artwork for cash, that deserves some credit for trust.

Question: Why aren't we allowed vouching for graphic sales?

Suggestion: Allow vouching for graphic SALES (not giveaways).

Thanks.

I'd say now, cause vouches show that people are trusted, well most of them do.
And by making a random guy a free sight isnt actually gaining trust, its just being polite and helpfull.

This would not work, giving someone a free work of art is not showing someone how trustable you are, just being nice to someone does not declare their trustability.

Now just imagine this scenario: Person A is making free sigs in return for vouches, Person B decides to give person A a vouch as he is required. Person A then acquires many vouches in this way, finally Person A decides to do something in the blackmarket. Person A then uses his vouches to scam.

I think we are maybe you should ask a admind

I'm half for the idea, and half for it not being accepted.

On the one hand, if you sell someone something for IRL cash, and you both stay legit, then that should be enough for a vouch.

But, on the other hand, there is no reason for either of you to scam. For example, if I have myself a signature I made for person B, and they agree that they like it, after giving me the money, there would be nothing for me to gain by not giving them the image. It's is not like game trading, where, if you don't give up your half, you still have something of value. That signature is how that one person requested it, so as I said before, you would have nothing to gain from scamming.

There are many ways to scam gfx though. I've been scammed before, recently I made a pixel sig for someone and they wanted to see the preview before paying, so I said hell why not. I slapped a watermark on it and showed it to the guy, next thing I know he stops contacting me and he has the pixel sig in his sig that he ripped and edited out the watermark.

There are ways, but you do have a point. I still beleive for my personal security, as an artist I hate going first to people because I'm the one who gets scammed. If vouching for gfx was allowed, I would be able to prove to people that I am trusted and I require them to go first.

But we all have problems, this is just my oppinion. As I'm more active in the gfx market than the black market, it seems to make more sence to me than others.

Vouching for Graphic sales can not effect Runescape trades. Graphics sales, if done for cash, can always be taken up with Paypal. Runescape trades cannot be disputed with Jagex, as they are against their rules.

You might be trusted to come through with your signatures, but that's because there's no way that you can scam after all is said and done. If you didn't give the sig, they could just cancel the money transfer with PP, and your going to be stuck, until you give the person the sig. IF things go the other way, you know that you can take the claim to a staff member, and we can edit things right out of their signature.

Lol i think they should but only for payed offers because hey you could run off with the payment just as well if it was a pbp pin or something

why it shouldn't be allowed if someone makes a legit trade offering artwork for cash

Simple, vouches are to prove your trustful. How can you be trustful if all you do is graphics? How trustful does that make you? Well, it can't. People who have vouches in name-selling and free-accounts shouldn't be trusted and allowed to be given or give vouches eithier, because vouches were made and used as trust. Here, let me ask you this :

Why should I trust you? Is it because you made me a signature, and that makes you trustable? Is it because you sold me an account name, or because you gave me a free account? OR should it be because you sold me an account that was level 115 and had 50M on it, for my paypal USD. The obvious choice was the PP/115. Trusting people and reading people, isn't as easy as reading a book (it's like people who can't tell scammers are illiterate!). Please, close and reject this suggestion.

It shows that you are trusted in a trade and that both people trusted each other enough to send the payment and such. Vouches are a way of showing trust and i think that if a payment was involved, so is trust.

Well first off, I think it's childish for you to be coming hard on me like this because I turned down your offer as a GFX mod on your forums. But that's besides the point.

The point is, and it clearly makes sense if you LISTEN to what I'm saying:
Graphic SALES should be vouchable because it is still considered selling WITH TRUST involved. Above you said, "How can you be trusted if all you do is graphics?" Does that even make sense? For one thing graphics isn't all I do. For another thing, what does doing graphics have to do with being trusted? It's the fact of the trade made that makes one trusted, not if they happen to do graphics.

Sure, free accounts and names shouldn't be considered as trustworthy. But spending hours on artwork for payment does consider trust because it's quite simply a TRADE. I don't understand why you're being ignorant of the fact that graphic trades and account trades are both capable of being trusted of.

OR should it be because you sold me an account that was level 115 and had 50M on it
It's funny how you take such an example of trade that rarely occurs and demands high trust.

I believe if vouches aren't allowed for the black market, then at least let them be allowed for gfx trades alone. I don't see how if one is trusted on the gfx section, they are not in the black market. But if that's the ignorance I'll be getting, then I suppose there isn't much I can do about it.

Thanks.

You have your GFX, show them in your thread to prove you have the quality of work they require and that if they want said GFX that they pay up front, then you need not require pathetic vouches to ask to go first - if they refuse to pay up first then don't do the work. Simple as that.

Vouches were originally meant to be for mods ONLY to give to members, this jsut further degrades the worth of the vouch currency and when GFX vouches were allowed, it turned out terrible as everyone had tonnes of "vouches" for simple 2minute GFX Jobs.

GFX forum is not related to runescape black market, so therefore doesn't need to interact with it via the same currency to determine trust. In GFX, if people see what they like then they will have no hesitations of paying first as you should be providing proof you can do the work.

All in all, no.
