Giant mole vs. Barrows!!!!

The title says it all i basically want to hear your opinions on either method and the average amount of money you guys make from either. I seem to get more consistent money on average per hour from the giant mole trading in the mole claws and skins for nests. Let me know what you guys think!

 

if you get lucky at barrows just once then i think it is much better for money imo

 

then again magic tree seeds and yew seeds kinda counter that too.. out of 53 birds nests last night i got 2 yew seeds and one magic tree seed granted thats a rarer haul all in all i got about a mil from a little over an hours gameplay.. i may just have terrible luck doing barrows runs but out of 45 goes i only got one barrows item!! Granted i still made some good cash off runes and bolt racks.

 

Barrows is all luck based, but if you can get sufficient number of mole kills per hour it is a better money because then you get the chance of 1 - 3 skins and always 1 claws plus all of the other possible drops. The claws and skins alone are 20k - 40k.

How many kills can you do per hour?

 

Not sure never timed myself exact but im pretty sure my last run of 53 took roughly an hour or so maybe even a bit longer but im about to start again now ^^ so ill try to keep better track of it .

 

i almost get a barrows item every 2nd or 3rd run. i may just be lucky tho.

 

For consistency in the cash per hour, I highly recommend giant moles. You could however get lucky at barrows snd get 3m+/hour.

 

But then there will be days that you do 4 runs and get nothing good.

 

Giant mole is more consistent than barrows, but neither of them are really "good" money. Mole possibly just because of seeds, but barrows items have dropped hard recently so not good money really, even when you do get items.

 

uh.. depends what you consider "good" for money i make good money doing giant moles . keep in mind crushed birdsnest is still 8k multiply that by 40-50 an hour and your well over 300k without seeds even in the picture.. barrows can be badass money too

 

I do barrows just for fun so I really don't know.. I have a method I can use to stay there indefinitely..

If you don't have a Drakan's medallion then giant mole is better.

 

I'd just do giant mole, because barrows takes so much prayer potions, and I never get lucky

Mole is definitely less challenge, but not too bad of a moneymaking method

Do people even kill the giant mole? I have never been personally, but I heard its basically shit.

I did read that you can trade all that useless mole stuff for birds nests though, which are worth quite alot of cash.

 

people kill the giant mole extensively and yes you trade the mole skin and claws for birdsnests, soloing its easily possible to get from anywhere 40-60 mole skins and or claws an hour which is easily 350k/hr +++++++ without taking into consideration the seeds found in nest he also drops dmed helms noted yew logs (100!!) rune bars and mith bars. Im sure there are other notable drops but i dont see them often .. PS i got 48 birdsnest in one hour of moles with a dmed helm 200 noted yews and a rune bar ^^ one of the better hauls from mole comes out to great fairly consistent money.. btw anyone saying giant mole isnt as hard as barrows may not be using prayers... because i dont get hit by hardly any of them unless i just completely flake on watching prayer .. either way neither of them are hard to fight and that isnt what this thread is about. Its about the money you make from them and what you think is better in long run
