Background:

Earlier today I went to him to purchase 120M of 07GP for $120 PayPal, with myself paying the transaction fee's. After wasting my time with him for about thirty minutes, he said his provider could not give him the money, so he would refund me the money. He did do that, and I only received $118.80 back because PayPal charged another $1.20 transaction fee. I was frustrated by this and asked for the fee to be paid by him since he did waste my time and whatnot. But at the end of the day, he didn't and I didn't care much. But I was suspicious that the PayPal refund was still pending and not showing up in my balance. Fast forward maybe six hours later, I came back home to check my PayPal balance and see if it was no longer pending, but to my surprise it still was. I contacted him about that and he said not his fault and it's PayPal. I decided to do my own research and came to the conclusion that the only reason refunds pend is when someone sends a refund from their bank or an eCheck (which can be a declined transaction in the near future). This frustrates me because I sent my money through PayPal balance, meaning the refund should have been in PayPal balance and instant. I would like my money now, as this is taking a long time and now I'm worried that PayPal will be limiting my account due to him and I will lose ALL balance on the account, not just the $120 I sent him.

Maybe thats why your money hasnt hit your account. Like you said maybe the 'stealth' account got limited?

I use alt paypals for receiving paypal to, thats not how it works. lol. If a transaction gets sent as friend/family then paypal doesn't make the recipient wait any amount of time for the funds being available to him

You've withdrawn the money to your bank as soon as he sent you the paypal and now you've refunded it you've sent it back to him as an echeque

(And the posighdin pays with balance and balance is always instant unverified or not)

UPDATE: Due to the fact that the payment was being mysteriously held, I had to call PayPal. I also took the liberty to add a bank account to my PayPal because of this to verify my PayPal. Luckily, although some of my stealth isn't real, it is enough to verify my identity with it. After calling them, they said the refund is being held is indeed due to the fact that M3HM37 send it through bank.

 

I just pressed Issue refund mate. The money will come to your account if it has not yet. If it does not come to your account and it is really pending come back in a day or two. This payment will come through be patient it is on the way. I assure you if it hasnt come yet it will soon.

 

Speaking with Posighdin. The problem is that he thinks that the payment will bounce instead of clearing onto his PayPal.
I will happily stay with a DO NOT TRADE till he receives the money back.
Agreed to when he receives the money he will then close his report. This is just in case of a scam.

 

The problem is that it should've been instant if you actually refunded me the money I gave you. Balance IS instant and if something was wrong on my side it would be undet a hold, not as a transaction marked pending.

 

UPDATE: It's been almost 24 hours and it is still pending.

When paying via bank (at least refunds) you have a wait period which can be shown on your transaction unless via mobile. This usually takes 5-7 days as your bank has to confirm it.

 

Yes, but I paid him through balance. therefore he shouldn't have paid me through bank. it should've been through balance, which is instant.

 

how he paid you is none of my concern, the only way it would have happened however is 1) he had no balance or 2) he chose to pay via that instead.

 

But why would he have no balance if I just sent him that exact balance 30 minutes prior unless he were attempting to scam me in some way through bank transfer delay?

 

i would think that it's obvious. If he has no balance he would have withdrew it.

Either he has/had withdrew it or he spent it elsewhere which in turn failed to present you the payment as requested. I only know about refunds etc because I had to refund a friend via my bank and we had a wait ourselves.

 

but what trader spends the buyers money before even supplying the item?

 

I said i will call PayPal today. I am DNT till the money reaches your account.
I refunded so it will reach your account. Stop making a big deal there was just a problem with it.
For example buying something off a website and then they refund you your money. They do not warn you before you send it it just happens in the moment. Takes up to 21 days through G2A.
My one was a clear accident and it will reach your account in a few days.

 

@Posighdin please update with any further information on the refund status.

Also @M3HM37 you are responsible for the additional $1.20 that was taken out as a fee.
