I got scammed on paypal please help

I got scammed $50 which was sent as gift. I phoned up paypal they said to phone up my bank i did this after a day they said that i should talk to the guy who scammed me as their is nothing they could do. Is their anyway i can get my money back?
Also i got scammed $60 but this was as goods so as long as i open dispute i think it will be ok but should i wait so i can say i never received it as im aware paypal rarely refund for virtual goods so i was going to say it was software or something.
Any help is appreciated and if you help get my money back ill give you 10%

 

You're definitely going to have to charge it back if you never received your goods. Please give me more information-- did you send the money out or did you receive it and get charged back.

I don't believe there's any way to get your gift money back. First of all, you sent it as a gift which isn't supposed to be for a payment anyway, so, if you claim that you didn't receive an item... you're not getting anything back. Second, people who scam using the gift option use the "Unauthorized Transaction" idea, which they can only perform if:

1. They hacked the paypal, and the original owner recovered is disputing.
2. They sent the money from a different IP than the PayPal account creation IP, and then recovered from the PayPal account creation IP and are disputing from that IP.

I'm not sure if you will receive the *goods* payment back.

In the future, try buying from trusted marketeers. You can tell if someone's trusted by their vouch count & quality, their thread (be sure to check recent replies). Also, try using a middle man - a legitimate marketeer will rarely refuse to use a middle man for RSGP <> Real life $ trades.
