    USB Adapter in Ubuntu

Hi, I'm having a problem using my USB wireless adapter in Ubuntu. I can't get on the internet on Ubuntu (I'm using win7 now), since it doesn't seem to recognize the adapter very well. Sometimes I get connection, but if I do it is very little and is unreliable. My adapter is a Linksys WUSB54GC v.3. I tried installing driver with ndiswrapper, but that didn't seem to have any effect at all. Can someone tell me if it's not possible to use it/ how to use it with Ubuntu?
