Need Help With Paypal Urgent!!!

Hey. A few months ago, i sold a World of Warcraft account, over here. I Posted pictures etc, and within a few hours, somebody on MSN added me, from the MSN [email protected]. He wanted to buy the account, and payed me $250 US, Which was $372 AUD at the time. I withdrew it to my bank, then gave him details. Within a day, My account was limited, and i was minus $372. Somehow, it was an Unauthorised transaction. I knew the owner did this, as he NEVER got back to emails. After several IP Checks with A Local Computer Expert, we found out that the owner of the paypal was the same guy on MSN. I Told PayPal, but still, they didn't care, and they wanted there payment. I still refuse to pay to this day, as i am not in the wrong. I gave the account, etc.


Few days ago, i received an email from Paypal, saying that they will take this to the Collection Department, and i could go to Court.

Now what the FUCK do i do? I didn't do anything wrong.


Personally, i advise nobody to use Paypal, it isn;t as safe as they say it is. With Chargebacks, it's just not worth it.

 

Well, even though its not your fauly, you are still responsible for the payment tooken back. I do hope you know its illegal to sell World of Warcraft gold, and accounts. This could be a serious matter, and no matter how much you disagree with it, I suggest you pay up. You dont want things to get worse, do you?

 

I've heard many of these stories and no one has really ever gone to court that I know of. They try to give you this bullshit story and all. If you have all the persons details and address and it matches the guys account just tell paypal about the situation etc. If not change your address lol.

You can't win against paypal, you will have to pay and waste time in court.

 

Yeah, but why not try. We have the guys MSN, and many posts over internet regarding him as a $$$ scammer.

 

The fact that what you did was illegal in the first place is not going to help your situation. You sold your WoW account which is illegal. You won't win. As it has been suggested before, you should just pay the money, or ignore PayPal. don't push them to court though. It won't go well if you do.

 

so, they are gonna spend $$ on their lawyers, for $250? Yea dude. just remove your CC + bank acc from paypal. And ignore them. They will lock your acc(you cant log into it) withint 3-5 months. This exact same thing happened to me, but it was $200. Ignore their stupid ass. and if you actually believe they will bring you to court for $250, just shoot yourself.

i was in a negative balance of $65 once. I tried to add a new FAKE address but it wouldent work. I couldent even remove my bank. And i couldent take off my current house address or add a new phone number. So basically your limited till you pay up.

I still use paypal even though i was scammed.

 

Oh... Well not sure what to do Atm.
