[Tutorial] How to rid a program of viruses

Hi, I'm beloved ex-administrator Govind, and I'm here to promote my new virus-ridding e-book, That Was A Close One. Just follow these steps to stay safe.


Here we got ourselves a file, conveniently downloaded off the internet. We've all been here before, adrenaline pumping through your veins, unsure of what happens next.




Right click the folder, go to properties, and change the program's icon to a checkmark. Windows has to sweep a file and remove all the ickies before it can be declared as a checkmarked folder, so naturally this is the first step.

Now we're going to use a proxy. From what I understand, a proxy is like the younger brother of your computer which will take all the heat if shit goes expected awry. To make a proxy, right click on the program and create a shortcut.




And that's all it takes.




But you won't want to get this confused with the real program, so make sure to change the icon again. I went with a nice tree.

Here's where we get our antivirus involved. To be certain the program isn't ridden with any lingering viruses, drag your antivirus next to it, as this will combat said malice. This will also prevent future viruses from colonizing within.




I'd recommend moving the recycle bin below the program to catch any viruses that may fall out.




With all steps completed, we can now run this bad boy with peace of mind.




As shown, the program now runs flawlessly.
