How to Bot in Linux (Open All .jar Files) -RSBot, KBot, etc.- [Lots of pics]

    Welcome to my How-to thread.

    TABLE OF CONTENTS
    - Introduction
    - Downloading bot
    - Opening bot
    - All terminal commands picture

    INTRODUCTION

I'm posting this thread because I am a Linux user and I've been looking and searching through Google loads, but there was no way to find how to bot. More specifically, open .jar files.

Opening .jar files is basic for botting, as well-known bots like RSBot or KBot, are .jar files.

    DOWNLOADING JAVA

We will need Java for our bots, as RuneScape is powered by Java. So to download Java, first of all, we will need to open our Terminal, which can be found in System Tools > Terminal.

In the terminal, we will type:

    Code:
     su
    Continued by your root password.

    Now we must type:

    Code:
     yum install java
You must accept everything that is asked and wait for about 4-5 minutes. Then you will have Java installed! Now we can move on to downloading our bot.

    DOWNLOADING THE BOT

Now we must choose which bot we want to download. I recomend you either RSBot.org's bot or KBot.info's bot. KBot is my favourite as you can multi bot with your accounts with no lag! But I'll show you how to install both of them.

Go to on of these sites and follow the images.

    RSBot.org
    KBot.info

    For RSBot download...

For KBot download you must register, which is very fast. You must register because you have to enter your KBot.info forum username and password to run the bot.

We now have the bot downloaded!

    OPENING BOT

Now we reach to the final part! We need to find where our bot is. It's normally in Downloads folder, so what we need to do is type this in our Terminal.

    Code:
     cd Downloads
Now our Terminal is in Downloads folder.

Now what we need to do is check the bot's name. So we go on our Downloads folder. Normally RSBot's file name is RSBot.jar or RSBot-116.jar <- 116 or whichever version. If you use KBot, I really recomend to change your file name, as you'll find yourself with a strange name that will make everything more difficult.

    Check the picture:

Now we have everything renamed, we can finally open our bots! Type this in your Terminal.

    Code:
     java -jar ./RSBot-166.jar

Use this code if your bot is RSBot-166.jar. I'll give an example if you renamed your KBot file into "bot.jar"

    Code:
    java -jar ./bot.jar
Our bot will pop up in 5-10 seconds! It wasn't that hard wasn't it?

If you have any picture suggestions, please post it so I can improve this guide. If you didn't understand something or a sentence is wrong, please don't flame, I'm Spanish and I'm studing English, so tell we what to improve so you can ALSO improve my English! Thanks!

Dude, all you have to do to bot on Linux is download the bot. Right click the .jar file, and click open with Java Runtime.

You make it so much work, and if you want to be even lazier so you only have to left click just change what it opens with on default in the properties menu.

    -.-
