I need help with a problem i just encountered.

So I was just messaging a seller on skype and he asked me for my ID, Im new to sythe so im not too sure how this all works and the way i see it he should inform me. I was given a very breif description and he was saying ALL Sites ask for this. I purchased from 2 other sites yesterday and simply explained this was my first time being asked for ID so i was basically a bit worried. He showed me his TOS and it was very undetailed. After explaining the lack of detail put me off and giving a bit of advice he started to become very abusive saying things such as i was a noob he was a boss. I was a scammer, An "Emo" ECT.

Am i able to report this user as as far as i see all i did wrong was be new to the forums, I have the whole conversation still on my skype.
If i did do something wrong by not sharing my ID i am happy to show it to a trusted member of the community such as a Moderator.
Also i still have the full conversation on my skype so im willing to show or share this with any Site Moderators.

Thank you for taking the time to read and thank you in advance for any help.

Hey man, gold sellers tend to ask for this proof or verification to prevent fraudulent activity. PayPal accounts can be purchased online for a low cost and as such, the users can buy gold but the original owner will later dispute it as an unauthorised payment. That is just one example of how a buyer might attempt to scam a gold seller.

So, if the seller gets the ID proof off of the buyer, the name on the ID should match the PayPal name; and if not, then the seller will refund the buyer and not transfer the gold. This is done for their own protection to avoid chargebacks.

Its a shame that the seller went on to say those disrespectful things, but there's not much that can be done here. I would suggest that if you did not enjoy the service you were provided, to let the owner know via email or a feedback form on their website.

Gold sellers requesting ID from newcomers is pretty common practice, nothing particularly worrying about it.

No, you didn't do anything wrong. And you can't report the seller for being mean over Skype, just block him and move on :)

I think it's a shame at times people who are rude for no reason, including racism etc; aren't dealt with. Then again, I guess it's a black-market for a reason, just learn to deal with it and ignore the trolls. After all, they probably get bullied if they ever leave their homes themselves ;)
