Where to train Combat?

I'm 77/78/71 with dragon scimitar.

I've found I lost a great deal of xp/hr at Ghouls and am now wanting a new zone to train in?

Any ideas? Also, is a scimmy good for strength training?

 

Scimmy is good with RD and dragon boots, more strength bonus the better

 

I currently have Bandos boots, aren't those better?

 

No, since they don't give str bonus. However, they give a prayer bonus + better defence bonuses, so you might consider them when training with prayer, or battling accurate enemies.

 

You should be training at dagganoths near the lighttower.

 

Get 80/80/80 at either giant spiders or dags then go to tzhaar

 

Train on monkey guards at the temple. You Can camp there for a while because of the altar wit protect from melee. But bring super str att and def pots along with super anti poison pots. And you'll need a SS also for good str xp.. for attack xp abysal whip.

Yes Scimitar is the best at your level.
