i did not see this in the do not suggest list and i was kind of surprised so i mind as well suggest it while its not on list.



get itrader on the forums

get arcade on forums so members can verse each other

you are allowed to vote more than 1 choice in the poll

explain why or why not

edit- itrader because this will create less noobs who have vouches in sigs and stuff.

with itrader they can vote positive or negative on how you did in the trade and leave you a feedback(vouch) and all this would be stored in your sythe account

We're not fagex, and we manage just fine without an arcade. We don't need some cheesy flash games taking up more space on our site.

 

Oh please it doesn't even take up a lot of space.

They won't be put up even if a lot of ppl want it. Sythe just doesn't care. Hell install a plugin to see whose blocking ads but he won't do something that the community would like.

I'm sorry, please take your idiocy elsewhere. Ever heard of this thing called bandwidth? this site needs as much as it can get dedicated to the forums, we don't need an arcade chewing up more of it.

 

The problem, and main problem with an arcade? It take the focus away from RuneScape and from the market.

If Sythe did do an arcade, one would suppose that people would be buying rankings there too .

Wow you truly are the idiot. First of all the bandwidth would increase yes but after the first month it would go down a bit. And it wouldn't even be that large of an increase seeing as how it would only be for members and the majority of the ppl that come here are guest. Also I doubt you even know the specs of the server used for the site or for that matter how much bandwidth the site uses. So please don't think so highly of yourself.

Seriously, I was here for 2 months of the Sythe shitty slowness, and 3 months of ddos attacks.

We know the specs of the server because everyone was asking about it all the time, and we didn't like the slowness.

When you get locked out after 5 minutes of browsing, you tend to get pissed off.

So seriously dude, you have no clue what this forum likes to do... quite often it sucks on speed.

 

This would make the forums seem low budget and chatty; two things we shouldn't be aiming for.

 

agreed, arcades and so on are stereotyped into the new up and coming forum which doesn't really have anything to keep members active so they ram in an arcade to get people on...

This has been suggested before and in the end it was decided that an arcade MAY boost the total people online at a time (unlikely but possible) however it would detract from the time members spend posting AND thinking about what they are going to post. Thus we lose out overall.

 

Well I browsed the forums in January before I joined and if anything the site has improved. Not only that theres is now over 700 ppl viewing the forum at a time and the most I can remember is about 400. It has improved a lot.

And once again it would only be for members. Or you could put it for donators =/

As for itrade I don't see anything negative and would be better than ppl posting vouches. That way you won't see them on ppls signature. I think the Itrader should at least be considered.

 

I'm talking last year, like... end of summer, etc... It was really bad. It's not bad now, so I think everyone's just up in arms..


And what's iTrader?

itrader is what ebay has.

you can post a feedback on like a vouch but it is stored on your account.

also they can vote on how well you did like positive or negative and there will be a percentage like 99% positive feedbacks, 1% negative, etc

 

iTrader is a great idea in my eyes, I would love to see something like that implemented on these forums, itd make me not have to keep trying to find all my 50 or so vouches ive got lying around everywhere .

Arcades are fun (and I kick arse in them ), but an arcade wouldnt really suit sythe, theyre generally associated with cheap, taccy forums that have nothing else worth your time on.

 

I agree with TDD ( I can't quote cuz of gay Proxy Takes 1 hour to load the quote button).. It would take up the bandwidth and Sythe already goes down every once in a while, it lags occasionally
