I just took the PSAT test at my school and I can remember somethings that would be invaluable for test takers that I wish I knew when i took it.

If you want some tips just PM me. If alot of people PM me I'd be glad to just put all of the info on this thread. However, at the moment I don't see the point.

 

Heh, I just took it Wednesday. It was really easy, there were only two questions I couldn't answer.

For people who have taken both the PSAT and the SAT:

How do the two compare?

I've taken the SAT but I've skipped the PSAT two years in a row... I know many people who got almost everything right on the PSAT, and got in the 600s on the SAT. So, I'd say it is easier.

The PSAT is about the same difficulty, but has a harsher curve. It should be a relatively fair reflection, there are just fewer questions. If you score particularly low, you'll have a better chance of improving on the SAT, but if you ace the PSAT, it'll be harder to ace the SAT.

I got a 211 PSAT, with 2130 SAT (213 was National Merit Scholarship ). I got a 34 on ACT though.
